Backstreets Back - like, all five of them - alright!?
Its hard to believe its been 20 years since A.J. McLean, Nick Carter, Howie Dorough, Kevin Ridhardson and Brian Littrell first got together to form the Backstreet Boys in Orlando, Florida in 1993. In just two decades, the guys have sold over 130 million albums worldwide, making them the best-selling boyband in history (take notes, One Direction and The Wanted).
Kevin departed the group after 2005s Never Gone, leaving behind the quartet responsible for 2007s Unbreakable and 2009s This Is Us. But Kevin wasnt easily forgotten; after all, it was the fivesome that was responsible for massive international hits like "Quit Playing Games (With My Heart)," "Everybody (Backstreets Back)," "Larger Than Life," and, of course, "I Want It That Way."
All five guys are back together for their 20th anniversary, and its already been a good year for the guys. In April, they were honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and in May the guys appeared on "Good Morning America" to perform new music and announce the release date for their new album, In A World Like This, which drops July 30th.
And on Monday, the Backstreet Boys announced that their new single, title track "In A World Like This" would premiere on New Yorks Z100 on Tuesday.
